"Construída entre os s. XVI e XVIII, a igrexa de Santo Domingo conta con interesantes retablos e sartegos, entre os que se inclúen os seus padróns, os Condes de Taboada. Dende a súa torre barroca, finalizada en 1714 despois duns traballos custeados polo arcebispo Monrey, lánzanse todos os anos o afamado glopo de papel na honra de San Roque, padrón da cidade.
O convento conta cun interesante claustro, corazón dunhas instalacións que tiveron diversos usos ao longo do tempo [foi cuartel de Garda Civil] e que hoxe dan acubillo ao Museo dás MAriñas e o Arquivo Biblioteca da Cidade."
