The Three Tubs-Horseshoe Curve Mountain Bike Trail is the latest bike trail to be constructed in Blair County. The property on which the trail uses was an abandoned coal strip mine. For years the area was used by off-roaders of all types, including bicycles. Recently the Altoona Water Authority purchased the large parcel and opened the ground to public use through a co-op with the Pennsylvania Game Commission. A local group of mountain bike enthusiasts lobbied for the construction of the trail. The trial is in it's infancy and continues to extend the loops. At this time there is no website available.
