[FR] Vers 1132, les Templiers s’installent dans un endroit inculte et presque inhabitable, en lisière de la forêt de Chaux, le long du Doubs.
La commanderie du Temple de Dole fut fondée par un seigneur régional, Raynaud III, qui la dota richement.
A la suppression du Temple, le manoir du Temple-les-Dole est attribué aux chevaliers de Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem.
La maison a été vendue nationalement en 1791 et démantelée. Seule une partie du corps central subsiste.
[EN] Around 1132, the Templars settled in an uninhabited area at the edge of the Chaux forest along the Doubs river.
The commandery of the Temple of Dole was founded by a regional lord, Raynaud III, who richly endowed it.
Upon the dissolution of the Templars, the manor of the Temple-les-Dole was given to the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem.
After the Revolution, the house was sold and dismanteled. Only a part of the central structure remains.
