This milestone can be found on the Loch Leven Heritage Trail, a 13 mile walking and cycling circuit of Loch Leven in Scotland. It lies towards the north-western edge of the loch at a junction of paths, east of the town of Kinross, and close to Mary's Gate, a wrought-iron gate, named after Mary Queen of Scots, who was imprisoned on an island in the loch.

The distances are in kilometres, and the placenames are, to the south, Kirkgate Point and Kinross Pier. To the north, Burleigh Sands, and to the west, leaving the trail, the town of Kinross.
