EN: There is a border cross at the corner of Alte Bonnstrasse and Geildorfer Strasse in the Badorf district of Brühl. It bears the Electoral Cologne cross in an implied tartsche and underneath it the letters B S for the Brühler Schweid - Schweid is a medieval term for the recorded and mapped urban area, the coordinated border between the parishes of Brühl and Bornheim was the Geildorf brook. After a ban walk (German: Bannbegang) carried out in 1651, i.e. an official control of the mapped area, Jorgen Wolf and Gaudentz Flörkin were recorded in the report as the builders of the boundary stone. The boundary stones themselves were set up on the bridges of the roads leading over the brook.
