The Angellala Creek Rail Bridge was opened in 1888 and carried a single 1.07m track. Originally the bridge had three 6.1m spans, but in 1994 intermediate supports allowing larger diesel-electric locomotives to operate on the line were incorporated into the structure. The bridge is the sixth longest in Queensland, the western approach (530 metres) is the longest approach of any railway bridge in Queensland.
