Despite its looks, this community book exchange does not appear on the Little Free Library website, nor is it identified as one. However, a plaque on the side identifies it as the work of Tanner Martin, who deployed it here in 2014 as part of his Eagle Scout Service Project. It stands on a post that looks to have been finished at one time, showing its wear and tear, but the box itself is in fairly good condition, stained a dark brown with a dark red gabled roof. The door has a knob, but it is secured by a hook and eye latch. Unlike so many others, this one is packed pretty full.
There's not much to be found about this one, beyond a reference in a 2015 issue of The Cross Timbers Gazette, with a simple mention that the Double Oak Women's Club and Tanner had provided the book exchange. Interestingly, while the plaque on the side of the box notes Tanner's name and 2014 as the year of the project's completion, it references Troop 282. While troops do come and go, the only 282 in Texas in 2021 is in Burnet, some hours from here, so there's probably a store in here somewhere.
