Johnstown, PA was founded in 1800. After a flood devastated the city, many buildings had to be rebuilt. The City Hall building was rebuilt and the cornerstone of this new block building was laid on the Centennial of the city.

This was designed by Charles Robinson in a Richardsonian Romanesque style. The cornerstone is on the left as you face the front of the building.
