Mt Tecumseh is a mountain peak in the Sandwich Range of the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The mountain is conveniently located near the Watervalley Ski Resort. Mt Tecumseh was once considered one of the easiest and more accessible 4000'-ers in New Hampshire at 4003 ft. In fact, I found it when trying to determine what peak I should summit when committing to climb a 4000'-er.
Interestingly (and disappointing for me), once I got to the top, the survey disc indicated an elevation of only 3997'. Turns out, the mountain was re-surveyed in July 2019 and it lost six feet of official elevation. In the end, I climbed the highest non-4000' mountain in New Hampshire. Still worth the hike - it's a great view.
