The trail from the park to the top of Rowsell's Hill is about 1.5 kilometres in length with a climb of 190 metres. The trail is also known as Rowsell's Hill Nature Trail. To break up the effort required for the climb, there are interpretive panels along the trail, describing some of Newfoundland's larger animals. There are toilets at the trailhead. There is plenty of parking. There is a trail register inside the heritage interpretation centre.
Don't be fooled by the length of the trail. This is a vertical climb, often with mud underfoot. Leave yourself plenty of time. Unless it's raining, the view from the top is worth the effort.
Parking: N 49° 19.248 W 055° 23.944

Trail allowances or restrictions: The vertical climb on uneven footing limits the activity on the trail.
