Cameron's one Ton Survey post was erected in about 1882 on the bank of the Barwon River and marks the official survey of the border between Queensland and New South Wales.
The post is 2.7m high with sides 300mm square in section and is shaped into a pyramid at the top. It is carved on one side with the letters N.S.W. and QLD on the opposite side, the other two faces have J Cameron G.S and LAT 29 . The post was roofed in the 1970's to protect it from the weather
