"Tías holds a cut shield. First, made of azure, a ship in its color accompanied by two gringo-shaped cauldrons with the heads of sinople serpents, and a sinister candle in its color, all over waves of silver and azure. Second, of gules, a piece of ceramic with the representation, inside, of a Canarian fight punch. On the bell, marquesal crown. Under the tip, gold ribbon with the legend Redemption by fire in saber letters. The nave represents the one that brought the conquerors and with them the cult of the Virgen de la Candelaria, patron saint of the municipality, to which the candle also alludes. The boilers are taken from the arms of the Herrera, Marquises of Lanzarote, a title to which the crown also alludes. The ceramic piece with the Canarian fighting scene symbolizes the love for tradition and indigenous sports. The inscription on the ribbon alludes to the volcanic character of the land of Lanzarote. Approval: Council Order of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands of January 7, 1987 (BOC of January 21)." ( visit link)
