The Ministry of Ecological Transition, Fight against Climate Change and Territorial Planning of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the National Parks Coordination Service, will increase the number of guided routes in the Timanfaya National Park, in Lanzarote, from next August.
The regional counselor responsible for the Area, José Antonio Valbuena, explained that training activities are currently being carried out by interpreting guides of this natural space, with more than 30 years of experience, to new guides of the company that provides this service in Timanfaya.
These new routes, carried out on foot in small groups and accompanied by the interpreter guide, will help the visitor to have a unique contact with the National Park and to gain an in-depth understanding of its geology, flora and fauna.
All the information on schedules and availability of these activities will be available in the online reservation center found on the National Parks website.
José Antonio Valbuena also advanced that during the next academic year the interpretation activities in educational centers and social entities of Lanzarote will be reinforced by the Timanfaya National Park.
The training process for the new guide-interpreters began at the beginning of July with face-to-face sessions for public use at the Mancha Blanca Visitor Center and has been reinforced with a continuous learning process at other points of interest in this natural enclave.
