Memorial Park is located within the heart of our Village and draws its name from the Cenotaph located at the northern portion. It offers a playground and a splash pad, a large gazebo with picnic tables, Age-Friendly Outdoor Exercise Park added in 2016, swimming pool and public washrooms. The Visitor Information Centre is on the edge of the park.
The Keremeos Community Pool is a 4 lane, 25 metre facility, open from late April to mid September. Now somewhat aged, the pool, though quite serviceable, was upgraded to the tune of $115,000 in early 2021 by installing a pool liner over the existing concrete pool shell. It is estimated that this should extend the pool's service life by 10 to 15 years.
While a recent survey indicated that some 60% of residents are in favour of building an indoor pool, this is not presently feasible. You see, the village has only 1,500 or so inhabitants and, in the absence of government grant money, a new pool would entail a substantial tax increase for all home and business owners in the village.
The Keremeos Pool offers Red Cross Swimming Lessons, Swim Club Rentals, Aquasize & Public Swims. To the north is a small kiddies wading pool.
The Keremeos Community Pool is available to rent for private functions.
