River Street Multi-use Park - Kamloops, BC - Skateparks on Waymarking.com

Pretty rudimentary in its design and execution, we assume this to be an older skate park. The city has since built much larger and more elaborate skate parks, but this one still sees use by boarders and bikers.

While the park has none of those fancy bowls and half-pipes of larger parks, it is equipped with steps, various platforms and ramps and a rather large flat and open area. This last is probably quite useful for the bikers in getting up to speed before hitting a ramp.

While the park won't test the skills of most advanced bikers or boarders, we expect that it serves as a great novice park, not allowing tyro bikers & boarders to get too far over their heads, leading to an ambulance ride.

Along the north side of River Street,, the park is accompanied by several more recreational facilities, including tennis courts, a soccer field and several ball diamonds. Washrooms are also placed handily nearby.
