An easy to find TN Hwy Dept azimuth disk in the city of Oliver Springs in Roane County TN. Disk is mounted on top of a retaining wall between some big flower pots.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1967 AT OLIVER SPRINGS. AT OLIVER SPRINGS, 0.25 MILE EAST ALONG THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY FROM THE STATION, ABOUT 60 YARDS NORTHWEST OF THE CROSSING OF STATE HIGHWAYS 61 AND 62, AT THE WEST CORNER OF THE JUNCTION OF THE HIGHWAYS AND NORTH MAIN STREET, SET IN THE TOP OF THE SIDEWALK THAT IS POURED ON THE TOP OF A 2 1/2-FOOT HIGH CONCRETE WALL, 39 1/2 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 16 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF THE STREET, 0.8 FOOT EAST OF A 6-INCH METAL SUPPORT POST AT THE EAST END OF THE CONCRETE WALL AND ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE STREET.
