John 11:25 - Woodlawn Memorial Gardens - Harrisburg, PA - Etched in Stone on Waymarking.com

This quote from the Sacred Scriptures is etched into the base of a statue of the Risen Christ at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Londonderry Road in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The quote says, "I am the resurrection and the life," which Jesus Christ said Martha before He raised her brother, Lazarus, after he had died.

Unfortunately, whoever carved this verse into the statue's base added the wrong verse number. It says "John 11:15." John 11:15 says, in the King James Version, "And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him." This is also referring to Jesus' raising of Lazarus after he had died. John 11:25, however, says, "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." This is the correct verse for what is carved into the base of the statue.
