The Chinchilla Pioneer Cemetery, sometimes known as ‘the old cemetery’, is the oldest of the cemeteries in Chinchilla and is located in the centre of the town on the main highway. The burials at the Chinchilla Pioneer Cemetery date back to at least 1892, with many occurring during the early 1900s with the latest being early 1940's. It is possible however that earlier burials exist but have not been recorded,
