The Casa de Sela is one of the oldest Indian constructions in Ribadeo, dating from 1869. Its imposing volume, decorative sobriety and the use of granite stonework refer to the traditional architecture, both institutional and private, that was developed in the Galicia of the XVIII and XIX. Its builders were faithful to the classic trends of native architecture, embodied in the urban pazos of the 18th and 19th centuries.
The existing data indicate that it is a replica of the house that the developer owned in Mexico, perhaps that is why the building includes striking galleries and a rooftop with a gazebo as an observatory of the environment was enabled on the upper floor. The farm of the house welcomes the typical Indian vegetation, where the emblematic palm tree is not lacking.
The so-called Parque de Indianos included in the route was designed to honor the memory of the Ribadense emigrants, whether or not they were lucky and had returned or not. The park has typical Galician and American bushes, such as araucarias, as well as magnolias, and various species of flowering plants, in addition to the plane trees that already populated the plot before its remodeling.
