During the second try of the polish to cross the Atlantic, this biplane crashed in this island of the Azores.
The plane started the flight in Le Bourget, not far From Paris, heading to New York.
The pilot died, Major Idzikowski, and the co-pilot got injuried, Kazimierz Kubala.
The plane burnt completely.
