Masonic Lodge No. 30 was constructed in 1904 and served as a Lodge until 1996, when the building was donated to the town to serve as a museum; it is now the Towanda Area History Musuem. This hitching post and ring is at the northwest corner of the musuem, right at the intersection of Main and 3rd Street.
