In this rock there is a coat of arms in metal.
"The Municipal Heraldic Shield of the Municipality of Narón was approved by Decree of the Consellería de Presidencia da Xunta de Galicia of February 23, 1984, which provides in its sole article: "The Municipal Heraldic Shield of the Municipality of Narón, of the province of A Coruña, which will be organized as follows:
Half split and cut shield.
1st, gold, five blocks of azure.
2nd, of azure, two attached and entertaining gold keys with their rings in the shape of pomeado rhombuses.
3rd, of azure, two golden ears and on them a silver anchor. At the buzzer, royal crown closed."
The ears of wheat recall the old economy of the Narón City Council, based mainly on the production of cereals and the work of the land. The anchor is a symbol of the marine life of this municipality, which extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the bottom of the Ferrol estuary.
In the head of the shield, the locks are the talking weapons of the old and powerful house of Traba. Its Counts founded and protected the monastery of San Martiño de Xuvia. For their part, the two keys are the heraldic symbol of the monastery of Cluny, head of the Order of Saint Benedict, on which the monastery depended as a priory from 1121 to 1518. We owe the appreciation to the monks of this mosteiro and the cultivation of many lands of the current Town Hall of Narón."
