"The Old Salem Lutheran Church was originally located next to the Old Salem Lutheran Cemetery on the Block Farm near Tea, Missouri. This church was moved to Highway V, just west of Block Branch Road where New Salem Lutheran Cemetery is located today. The cemetery and church ground was originally given to the church by William Henry Ahring Sr in the early 1930's. The church was abandoned and the members were split between going to Owensville or Rosebud. The cemetery was always maintained by former members of the church until a meeting was held in 1956 and a perpetual care fund was established. The ground was then deeded to the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rosebud. The Rosebud Church agreed to accept the land and accept the perpetual care fund and maintain the cemetery." ~ Salem Lutheran Cemetery and Church, as posted on Find-A-Grave
