Dobbin's Landing - Erie, PA - Love Padlocks on Waymarking.com

Dobbin's Landing, also known as the Public Dock, is located along Presque Isle Bay at the foot of State Street in downtown Erie, Pennsylvania. A long-time popular spot for locals and tourists, the fence surrounding the large elevated platform has recently begun to be populated with a growing number of love padlocks. The local news has reported on this lately, with Port Authority officials requesting that those placing the locks on the fence do not throw the keys into Presque Isle Bay. There are currently many dozen locks on the fence, however because of the amount of fencing, the locks are not all concentrated in one place, but are rather spread out around the structure. Some of the locks have names printed on them, some are of antique styles, and some are more common locks that can be purchased at any department or hardware store.
