There are two vantage point for viewing Cohoes Falls on the Mohawk River from Falls View Park. Either from above the falls or lower down close to the level of the Mohawk River. The upper observation area has a large circular compass rose in the center of a paved area. The compass rose is made of light brown, darker brown and red bricks and has 16 compass points radiating out from the center. The major directions N, E, S, and W are labeled with the appropriate letters inside diamond shaped tiles.
