This marker was issued by the state of West Virginia, has the official seal, and classic dark blue color. Although the text is lacking, there's frankly too much to say about the history of the historic district of Harpers Ferry. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. This marker seems to have been placed very recently. I visited and took these photos on 11 July 2021. It is located within Harpers Ferry Public Square.
