"Interesting cross that is located in the atrium of the Church of Santa María de Azogue. The platform is made up of three square staggered tiers and does not have a pedestal. The cylindrical column has vertical grooves and a collar-shaped top. The capital is of the Doric order and has schematic volutes in the corners. The Latin-shaped cross has a smooth rectangular section. Features images on both the front and back. The first shows a crucified Christ, with the word INRI at the head, and the second the Sorrowful Virgin, in a prayerful attitude, placed on a winged cherub base."
