EN: This fountain is located in the center of Kaisten on the Dorfstrasse. It has a granite trough with beveled corners, which is about one meter long. The fountain column has a stone acorn at the top and is dated 1996.

On the north side of the trough is a metal sign with a poem about water. I could not find out anything about the author Tilly Vonäsch. However, the dialect in which the poem is written is not from the immediate area, but sounds more like about 30 kilometers west of here.

The translation of the text:

"The water

Deep down it is born. already since earth exists
It's coming up to the sun - its way is far sometimes
Now it's giving life to the earth. It couldn't be without it
Through the air it's rising to the sky and the clouds are closing it in

As rain it falls on the ground. Nature welcomes it gratefully.
it slowly sinks back into the depths. There where it did start.
So the cycle closes - the fountain brings it to the daylight
We thank God for the water - that He may preserve it!"

Es chunnt doruf a d'Sunne - sy Wäg isch mängsmol wit
Jetz schänkt's der Ärde Läbe. si chönnt nid ohni sy
Dur d'Luft stigt's dänn in Himmel und d'Wulke schliessed's y

Als Räge fallt's uf d'Wise. d'Natur nimmt's dankbar aa
s'sinkt langsam zrugg i d'Tiefi. dört het's der Afang gha
So schliesst sich denn de Kreislauf - de Brunne bringt's a Tag
Year built or dedicated as indicated on the structure or plaque: 1996

Full Inscription (unless noted above):
only a date. the poem on the trough is in the long description, but it is unrelated to the date.
