Clinton's
Round-Up Motel stands at the southern end of the village, on the west side of Highway 97, The Cariboo Highway, which to some extent follows the original
Cariboo Road to the goldfields of Barkerville and area.
This little single seat buggy is quite similar to
another buggy, just two blocks north and on the opposite site of the highway. Both are of the type commonly known as ranch wagons, or doctor's buggies. Sprung with leaf springs from the axles, these are not buckboards, as those have an unsprung body, with leaf springs under the seat only.
This buggy has a single wooden seat, with no covering or padding, which is not to say that it didn't at one time have one or both.
