A memorial obelisk in the churchyard of St Michael's church, Kniveton, commemorating the fallen of WWI who came from this parish.
A polished red granite obelisk, with a pedestal and plinth set on a four stepped base of sandstone. Carved with a thin incised border around each face, the memorial is otherwise undecorated.
The pedestal has an incised decorative panel inscribed
KILLED IN ACTION
1914 - 1919
FOR LIBERTY
The sandstone ashlar base has an inscription in upright capital block lettering carved in relief with gilded lettering.
