Hammarö kyrka
Hammarö kyrka är en spånklädd timmerkyrka som tillhör Hammarö församling i Karlstads stift. Kyrkan ligger omkring tre kilometer öster om centrala Skoghall i Hammarö kommun, Värmland.
Kyrkobyggnaden
Kyrkans fick sitt utseende 1748 då den byggdes om till korskyrka, men de äldsta delarna koret och sakristian är uppförda i början av 1300-talet. Men man har funnit rester av en ännu äldre kyrka som troligen uppfördes i mitten av 1200-talet. I kyrkans sakristia är målningar bevarade från mitten av 1400-talet, de anses ha Mäster Amund som upphovsman. I sakristian finns ett medeltida sakramentskåp. Under 1933-1934 renoverades kyrkan och fick då sin nuvarande spånbeklädnad.

Hammarö church
Hammarö church is a chipboard-clad timber church that belongs to Hammarö parish in Karlstad diocese. The church is located about three kilometers east of central Skoghall in Hammarö municipality, Värmland.
The church building
The church got its appearance in 1748 when it was rebuilt into a cruciform church, but the oldest parts of the choir and the sacristy were built in the early 14th century. But remains of an even older church that was probably built in the middle of the 13th century have been found. In the church's sacristy, paintings are preserved from the middle of the 15th century, they are considered to have Master Amund as the author. In the sacristy there is a medieval sacrament cabinet. During 1933-1934, the church was renovated and then got its current chipboard cladding.
