The oratory of Saint Roch, in Corsican San Roccu, is a religious building that is located in the district of Terra Vechja, today rue Napoléon in Bastia. Originally it was the oratory of the brotherhood of San Roccu (Saint Roch).

La confrérie Saint Roch a été fondée en 1588. Elle est traditionnellement réservée aux adolescents de la paroisse de la ville basse. Une fois devenus adultes, ceux-ci doivent impérativement la quitter pour intégrer une autre confrérie de la ville. L'oratoire primitif, trop petit, fut entièrement reconstruiten 1604.La façade a été redécorée au XIX° siècle, dans le style néoclassique, par l'architecte bastiais Jean-Louis Guasco. Quatre colonnes d'ordre toscand soutiennent un entablement, couronné d'un fronton triangulaire. Le grand portail en marbre blanc, surmonté de la coquille des pèlerins, est sculpté en 1860 par Giuseppe Bertolucci, marbrier bastiais d'origine toscane.
Le décor intérieur conserve l'ambiance de dont certains oratoires baroques de Ligurie les murs sont recouverts de damas de soie rouge et de lambris en noyer ciré. Le retable architecturé du maître-autels, aux grandes colonnes monolithes, a éte sculpté à Bastia en 1692 par le marbrier génois Domenico Saporito. La table d'autel et les gradins ont été entièrement refaits en 1798. Le tableau du maitre-autel, daté de 1626, est signé par le célèbre peintre florentin Giovanni Bilivert. Il représente saint Roch, saint Martin, sainte Catherine d'Alexandrie et saint Sébastien aux pieds de la vierge à l'Enfant. Dans la nef, deux niches vitrées contiennent des statues de procession en bois polychrrome réalisées par le sculpteur Luigi Griscella. Celle de gauche figure saint Roch, celle de droite, datée de 1801, représente saint Sébastien.

The Confraternity of Saint Roch was founded in 1588. It is traditionally reserved to the adolescents of the parish of the lower town. Once they have become adults, they must leave it in order to enter another confraternity of the city. The original oratory was too small. It was completely reconstructed in 1604. The façade was redecorated in the 194^ century in the neo-classical style, by the architect Jean-Louis Guasco , from &she Four columns in the Tuscan style bear an entablature crowned with a triangular fronton. The great portal in white marble, topped by the pilgrims'shell, was carved in 1860 by Giuseppe Bertolucci, a marble mason, an inhabitant of Bastia originally from Tuscany

The interior decoration retains the style of some baroque oratories in Liguria, where the walls are covered with red silk damask and panelling in polished walnut The arch lecture, altar-pece, with high monolithic columns. was carved in Bastia by the Genoese marble mason Domenico Saporito. The altar table and the steps were entirely made again in 1798. The picture of the high altar, dated 1626, was made by the famous Florentine painter Giovanni Bilvert. It represents Saint Roch, Saint Martin, Saint Catherine ofAlexandna and San Sebastian at the feet of the Madonna and Child . In the nave, two glazed niches contain procession statues in polychrome wood made by the sculptor Luigi Griscella.
