Established in 1953 The Butler Volunteer Fire Company proudly protects 3,500 people living in an area of 64 square miles. We operate out of one station which consists of one engine, a tanker support unit, a utility, and a brush unit that protects a primarily rural area.
Mr. Will Davis and his sister May, donated the lands on which the first company and this new station are situated. These lands have been occupied by the Davis family since 1732.
The company outgrew its original quarters and a new station was dedicated on August 6, 1960.
The Butler Volunteer Fire Company apparatus is Engine 494, a 2002 Pierce Dash; Tanker Support Unit 491, a 2009 Ford F550 Super Duty Power Stoke Diesel; Brush Unit 492, a Honda Davey Pump; and Utility 497, a 1995 GMC Suburban, Medical Assist Unit.
