In celebration of the 350th anniversary of the Town of Suffield, a barn quilt trail was established throughout the town. Some painted barn quilts are bases on traditional patterns and others are more modern in their design.
Stephanie Garafolo has created the barn quilt "Cozy Chartreuse". She created a geometric pattern by using squares and triangles of shades of blue in the center that are surrounded by an area of chartreuse. The chartreuse is then surrounded by a zig-zag loop of blue. The symmetry of the design is completed with squares and triangles at the corners and the middle of the sides of the square.
Your Visit:
This quilt is easy to miss since it is set back from the east side of the road by 160 feet. However a boulder next the road has the address 1063, so you know you are in the right place. The barn quilt is set on the north end of the tobacco barn.
