This little corner of Lake Arcadia is rich in "Oklahoma Mudballs" that can contain geodes. The nearest parking is just off of Route 66, and it is about a quarter-mile walk down to the water. There is an area of shale and sandstone right on the shoreline that is being slowly worn away by the water; that is where I have found the most and the largest geodes here. If the water is low you can pick them up from the shore; if the water is high you might have to wade a bit. They range from just a few inches across to half a foot. You do not need permission to take small geodes from the area.
