The sculpture is a life like 15ft silver coloured sculpture of a spoon. It is embedded in to the ground with the words "eat for England" engraved on the handle. It was in placed in 2006 as part of the National Lottery funded South East Northumberland Public Art and Design initiative called "inspire".
It was commissioned by Blyth Valley Borough Council and Wildspace Network Art trail.
