Een Social Sofa is een zitbank met mozaïek geplaatst in openbare ruimte, naar een idee van Karin Bruers. De banken zijn gemaakt van beton en hebben een lengte van 2,24 m en de vorm van een chaise longue. Er zijn er inmiddels in heel Nederland al meer dan 1000 geplaatst.
Ook in Ede staan in en rond het Veldhuizerbos twee kleurige exemplaren.
Op verschillende plekken in Ede staan kleurrijke bankjes. Ze zijn gemaakt van duizenden kleine mozaïektegeltjes.
In Ede vind je zo’n bank aan het Inschoterhof en bij de ingang van het Veldhuizerbos. Er zijn vrolijke taferelen op de buitenbanken te zien. Zo fladdert op de bank bij het Veldhuizerbos een vlinder door een blauwe lucht.

A Social Sofa is a mosaic sofa placed in a public space, after an idea by Karin Bruers. The benches are made of concrete and have a length of 2.24 m and the shape of a chaise longue. More than 1000 have already been placed throughout the Netherlands.
