The 1950 class gift, a large carved coat of arms of the US Naval Academy near Gate 1 which is the main entrance.

It faces northwest towards the main driving entrance, opposite of the visitor center. It measures about 4 feet by 10 feet. It features a classic colonial ship in the center of the seal, with two torches on either side of it.
