It faces northwest towards the main driving entrance, opposite of the visitor center. It measures about 4 feet by 10 feet. It features a classic colonial ship in the center of the seal, with two torches on either side of it. The Academy's motto is Ex Scientia Tridens, which means "Through Knowledge, Sea Power."
