Crown Plaza Dead Sea is located in the heart of the spa town of Ein Bokek in the southern part of the Dead Sea. The hotel has 340 luxurious and spacious rooms. All rooms have views of the Dead Sea.

There is a private fine sand beach right in front of the Crowne Plaza Dead Sea. The beach has a very gentle slope, you can even go into the water under the roof of the promenade. The beach is fully equipped with all services.

The Dead Sea is a world phenomenon. It is a salty, stagnant lake with a breathtaking 33.7%, which ranks it among the saltiest lakes on the planet. For comparison, the Dead Sea is about 8.8 times saltier than the Mediterranean Sea.

The properties of the local water are fascinating. Thanks to the high density of minerals, the density of water is higher, as a result of which its buoyancy force is higher, which you will realize as soon as you want to dive. You will stay partially above the surface without swimming or otherwise trying.

The lake (but traditionally called the sea) covers an area of 1,050 km2, is 67 km long, 18 km wide and the highest depth is 380 m. However, data on the area are changing, as the lake dries up. At the same time it is located 420 m below sea level. Israel and Jordan share it. The only river that flows into the sea is the Jordan.

Water reminds many of the oil into which someone threw salt crystals. It contains 21 minerals, 12 of which you will not find in any other sea. You will certainly be thrilled by the sun, where not many people get burned - thanks to the negative altitude, you are protected from the effects of the rays by another layer of the atmosphere. Thanks to this, there is about 5% more oxygen in the air than elsewhere. This makes the place a paradise for allergy and asthma sufferers.
