Les Hansen's house has wide enclosed verandahs and dominant roof form continuing over the verandahs.The house is one of a number of dwellings built in Alice Springs during the late 1930s and early 1940s and is a two bedroom concrete brick bungalow with wide verandahs on three sides and, including the enclosed verandah, is approximately square. Its simple roof form is centrally pitched and is clad with corrugated galvanized iron.
