Sct. Marien Church has a special door handle on two of the doors. The door handle looks like a fish. It is curved, has a tail fin and an open mouth. Maybe made of bronze as it is seen a little ir on the tail fin.
Sct. Marien Church dates from around the year 1250. In 1958 there is a small extension to the church, and a similar modern door with the same door handle is seen on the extension. The design of the door handle fits The modern art style that is around 1958. Therefore, I assume that this fish door handle is from 1958. This modern door is on the north side of the church, which is the old part of the church.
Functional door?: yes
