"Post Namesakes
Pvt. William Clayton Hennessee and Pvt. Joe Baker who were shot and died from their wounds in the Argonne Forest Battle in France during WWI.
American Legion Hennessee Baker Post 99 was organized in 1920 and received their charter in 1930. Post 99 has resided in the same building since 1947. The building also houses the White Co. Veterans Service Office and the American Legion Veterans Museum. Legion members are active in Boys State, Poppy Sales, Memorial Day Ceremonies and heads up the Veterans Day Parade each year."
