"In the late 1920s there was a general store operated by Henry Hoflander and a blacksmith shop owned and operated by Thomas McDonough. It is now best known for the St. John United Church of Christ and their annual fall festival. At one time there was a store, blacksmith, school, church. Only the church remains.
