DREAM AS IF YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER
AND LOVE AS IF YOU WILL DIE TOMORROW
BELOVED SON, FATHER AND BROTHER
(Back):
David
A freak accident took you away
without a "Bye I Love You"
We did not get to say
We always said
"What would we do without each other."
Then you were taken away
But you left us your daughter.
The best thing you could leave a mother.
My heart still aches and my tears still flow
What it means to love you no one can ever know.
So, my son, my best friend, you'll never be forgotten
And I pledge to you today
A hollowed place within our hearts
is where you'll always stay
We all know that you're
Now in a better place
But that doesn't take
Away that empty space.
David's Find-A-Grave listing. I cannot find his obit.
The brick at the base of his tombstone (in front) is a dedicated brick that once was in a display along side the American Legion Post #122 in Warrenton. When the post closed, they asked those who had dedicated bricks to claim their brick for personally use. Sue Talley, David's mother, took hers and placed it here.
