La gare de Guillemins à Liège a récemment été entièrement reconstruite. Elle a été repensée pour créer un véritable monument d'art moderne. Tintin a voulu célébrer en personne l'achèvement de ce nouveau projet : quoi de mieux que quatre cadres agrandis qui évoquent la ville de Liège.
De quels cadres s'agit-il ? Prenez votre exemplaire de Tintin au pays des Soviets. Tout à la fin, aux pages 140 et 141, Tintin rentre enfin chez lui. Après une folle aventure, Tintin et Milou montent dans un train qui relie Berlin à Bruxelles. Dans la bande dessinée, comme dans la réalité, le train passe par Liège. Les trois dernières images de la page 140 et la première image de la page 141 montrent Tintin et Milou tout excités au moment où ils passent Liège.
Guillemins est la troisième gare de Belgique à accueillir Tintin, les deux autres étant la gare du Midi et la gare du Luxembourg à Bruxelles.
Het station van Guillemins in Luik is onlangs volledig herbouwd. Het werd heringericht tot een waar monument van moderne kunst. Kuifje wilde de voltooiing van dit nieuwe project persoonlijk vieren: wat is een betere manier om dat te doen dan via vier uitvergrote kaders die de stad Luik uitbeelden.
Over welke kaders hebben we het? Neem uw exemplaar van Kuifje in het land van de Sovjets. Helemaal aan het eind, op pagina 140 en 141, keert Kuifje eindelijk terug naar huis. Na een krankzinnig avontuur stappen Kuifje en Bobbie op de trein van Berlijn naar Brussel. In het stripverhaal rijdt de trein, net als in het echt, door Luik. In de laatste drie beeldjes van pagina 140 en het eerste beeldje van pagina 141 zijn Kuifje en Bobbie vol spanning te zien als ze Luik passeren.
Guillemins is het derde station in België waar Kuifje te gast is, de andere twee zijn het Zuidstation en het Luxemburgstation in Brussel.
Guillemins railway station in Liège has recently been entirely reconstructed. It has been redesigned to create a veritable monument of modern art. Tintin wanted to celebrate the completion of this new project in person: what better way to do so than via four enlarged frames which evoke the town of Liège.
So which frames are we talking about? Pick up your copy of Tintin in the Land of the Soviets. Right at the end, on pages 140 and 141, Tintin finally returns home. Following a madcap adventure, Tintin and Snowy board a train from Berlin to Brussels. In the comic strip, as in real life, the train passes through Liège. The last three frames of page 140 and the first frame of page 141 show Tintin and Snowy full of excitement as they pass Liège.
Guillemins is the third railway station in Belgium to welcome Tintin, the other two being the Gare du Midi and Luxembourg stations in Brussels.
