Le Museum of Original Figurines possède une collection unique dédiée aux héros de BD qui donne à voir les grands mythes de la bande dessinée sous forme de véritables « petites » oeuvres d’art. Quelques figurines très particulières : le sarcophage de Milou (Les cigares du Pharaon), le vase de Tintin (Le Lotus bleu), la statue du garçon Abdallah (Tintin au pays de l’or noir), le buste du bandit japonais Mitsuhirato (Le Lotus bleu), les fresques de Rascar Capac (Les 7 Boules de cristal) mais aussi les statues grandeur nature de Tintin, Milou, du capitaine Haddock et du professeur Tournesol tels qu’ils figurent dans On a marché sur la Lune.
Het Museum of Original Figurines bezit een unieke verzameling striphelden die de grote mythes van het stripverhaal tot leven brengen in de vorm van echte meesterwerken in het klein. Enkele zeer bijzondere figuurtjes zijn de sarcofaag van Bobbie (De sigaren van de farao), de vaas van Kuifje (De blauwe lotus), het beeld van kelner Abdallah (Kuifje en het zwarte goud), de buste van de Japanse schurk Mitsuhirato (De blauwe lotus) en de fresco’s van Rascar Capac (De 7 kristallen bollen). Daarnaast zijn er ook levensgrote beelden van Kuifje, Bobbie, kapitein Haddock en professor Zonnebloem zoals ze afgebeeld zijn in het album Mensen op de maan.
The Museum of Original Figurines has a unique collection dedicated to the heroes of comic strip, which explores the great myths of comic strip in the form of real “little” works of art. Some very special figurines are: Milou’s (Snowy’s) sarcophagus (Les cigares du Pharaon / The Cigars of the Pharaoh ), Tintin’s vase (Le Lotus bleu / The Blue Lotus), the statue of the boy Abdullah (Tintin au pays de l’or noir / Tintin in the Land of Black Gold), the bust of the Japanese rogue Mitsuhirato (The Blue Lotus), the frescoes of Rascar Capac (Les 7 Boules de cristal / The Seven Crystal Balls) as well as the life-sized statues of Tintin, Milou (Snowy), Captain Haddock and professeur Tournesol (Professor Calculus) as they appear in On a marché sur la Lune / Explorers on the Moon.
