Its design was created to resemble an island oasis, with palm trees, sand dunes and beach along with gently waving waters. Originally located in the Edison Ford Square in what's now First Street Village off of McGregor Boulevard the Oasis Restaurant will in June of 2021 have been in business for 33 years. This neon sign graced the main front facing window of the restaurant of its previous location. In 2003 the owners moved the restaurant to its current location and brought the neon sign that was symbolic to its namesake with them. Today it graces the back wall of the establishment and is a reminder to its loyal customers of a time gone by.
