Becket Land Trust Historic Quarry and Forest has both scenic beauty and aspects of a ghost town. As you climb to reach the viewpoint of the water filled quarry hole you pass a variety of discarded vehicles and equipment along the way. It is as if work stopped on day at the Hudson-Chester quarry and the workers never came back. In 1999, the land was purchased by the Becket Land Trust to preserve the land from development.
