Located in Klamath Falls' newest city park, Klamath Commons, is a pavilion with two pergola-like structures containing a quote which reads:
"Rather than assuming time will change the wrongs of the world, in reality, we have to change them ourselves." - Stephanie Van Dyke
Van Dyke was a great proponent of creating a downtown park for children up until her passing. She died tragically in a snowsledding accident. The local hospital, Sky Lakes Medical Center where she was employed was the major donor to building the park in her memory, along with other local volunteers.
